We are taking you back to November to recap this beyond beautiful wedding when Katelyn + Cole tied the knot on a sunny Saturday in Kansas City. From the very moment we met with Katelyn, we were ecstatic to work with her to make her floral dreams into a reality.
AN A-LIST VENDOR TEAM
Katelyn and Cole welcomed their friends + family to a warm and inviting gathering set at The Grand Hall at Power & Light. They were both immediately drawn to the romantic, classic feel of the space and chose us to help them create a relaxed and elegant atmosphere for the night. We worked with so many incredible vendors from the very start and we can’t wait to showcase their hard work with you today!
Nellie Sparkman Events + Stationary Studio was a vendor who we worked alongside with to plan the details of Katelyn + Cole’s wedding day. We were both so very excited to see their day come to life, plans of re-creating #theroyalwedding floral arch behind the head table with draping between the historic columns, not one, not two, but three wedding cakes + a groom’s cake from McLain’s Bakery, along with an A-list vendor team had us both eager to be a part of this wedding!
PERSONALIZED DETAILS FOR THE GROOM
Cole had his tux custom-made by Paolini Garment Company in Kansas City. Every detail was well thought out from the K(aitlyn) | C(ole) stitching on his shirt, the purple lining for the two Kansas State University alums, to the ‘Kate + Cole’ and their wedding date engraved on the inside of his jacket.
THE SWEETEST FIRST LOOK
First looks between the bride + groom are our very favorite! How adorable is Katelyn before seeing Cole for the first time?!
A SPECIAL BRIDAL BOUQUET
Katelyn carried a lush bouquet of white blooms of garden roses, peonies, lisianthus, and hydrangea with accents of foliage. One thing was for sure – Katelyn and her mother share a special bond together. During our planning meeting she wanted to honor that love between the two of them in some way, so we wrapped Katelyns’ mother’s wedding veil around her bouquet stems, so she could carry a part of her mother with her on her wedding day.
THE CEREMONY DETAILS
Katelyn + Cole tied the knot at the Country Club Christian Chuch in Kansas City, right off the Country Club Plaza. The beauty of this church is unreal and is one of our favorites! For the altar, we created a low arrangement that ran along the altar table behind Katelyn + Cole. During the ceremony, the couple watered a lemon tree to symbolize the joining together of two individuals and two families.
Nellie with Nellie Sparkman Events + Stationary Studio designed all of the paper details for Katelyn + Cole’s wedding day. Each and every element came together so beautifully! We are so grateful for Rita from Heirloom Photo Company capturing EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL. to absolute perfection! She was a busy lady but she didn’t miss a single thing.
McLain’s Bakery created three beautiful, classic wedding cakes for Katelyn + Cole, plus a Yeti groom’s cake!
THE ULTIMATE HIGH TO END THE NIGHT ON
The iconic DJ Ray with Icon Event Group set the ambiance with uplighting on the columns, and pin lighting on the tall floral arrangements. The slim photo booth was an absolute hit with the guests and the sparktaculars added the perfect touch for the grand entrance dip and was the ultimate high to end the night on!
Olive Events ended the night with the most adorable late night snack we have ever seen, MILK + COOKIES!
Katelyn + Cole, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day! We wish you both a lifetime of love + happiness! ❥
