The possibilities are endless with The Gallery! There are hanging capabilities for floral and other decor elements – perfect for a hanging head table element, or florals over the dance floor or bar area. The white walls and custom LED lighting color options allow you to create your own palette of colors with the venue. What we love the most here are weddings are completely customizable to your vision!

Meet McCall, Wedding Coordinator Extraordinaire

Let’s get to know McCall:

McCall Bodenhamer, a recent bride herself knows what it all takes to plan a wedding and how stressful it can be. McCall graduated from Mizzou Hospitality in May 2017, and has been in the downtown KC wedding industry ever since. She started as an intern for Madison Sander Events, then was an Event Manager at a neighboring downtown venue for a year and a half before her move to The Gallery! She loves her job so much, she drives a two hour round trip each day to work! Her and her husband, Matt married on October 20th, 2018 and chose to do a destination wedding with 50 of our closest friends and family in Louisiana on an antebellum plantation. She’s got a HUGE sweet tooth – if you need a way to her heart, dessert is definitely a good choice! (Lemon Bars are her favorite!)

Tell us about the Services You Offer:

We aren’t your normal wedding venue rental! We have an on-site Executive Chef that prepares the food fresh for our weddings, and we also provide bar services in-house. When you book The Gallery you aren’t just checking the venue off the to-do list, you are checking off venue + catering + bar & more in one single vendor! Our all-inclusive packages are prices per person and come in three tiers to accommodate any budget or style. I should also mention that we are certainly able to host wedding ceremonies in addition to your reception package!
When you tour with us too see & hear all that the package includes it might seem too good to be true because it’s SO easy – but that is the whole point! We want our bride & grooms to ENJOY their wedding planning process, so we are here to make it as simple as possible for them without having to sacrifice quality or customization options!

Give us some insight on the Process Once a Couple Books their Wedding at The Gallery:

Once you have booked with The Gallery, we set up a complementary tasting about 4-6 months before your wedding where you can sample multiple options of each course to help you select your final wedding day menu! Come hungry because you will be FULL afterwards! Following the tasting we also work with you to create a custom floor plan of how you would like the tables, dance floor, stage, bars, etc. set up in the space! About 10 days out from your wedding we will need to know a final head count how many many will be attending your big day!

What Advice do you have for Brides Looking for their Wedding Venue?

Don’t let sticker shock fool you out of booking your perfect venue. When you tour The Gallery Event Space, you might also be touring other venues that simply provide the event space, but not food and beverage. That can make it hard to compare & contrast your options accurately. To truly compare apples to apples, you might consider reaching out to approved caterers of the venues that do not provide in-house catering. When doing this make sure to ask the catering company all the necessary questions to get an all-in quote. Some caterers only provide the food pricing in their guides, when other charges such as staffing, gratuity, service charge, tax, dinnerware, glassware, etc. are additional costs that you might not have thought to consider. Here at The Gallery our all-inclusive, per person cost DOES includes staffing, gratuity, service charge, tax, dinnerware, glassware, etc.

Anything New Happening at The Gallery?
