May wedding flowers are some of the most beautiful flowers found all year. All of the spring blooms, like ranunculus, tulips and hyacinth are still in season AND peonies are growing larger and looking more lush.
This past May, we got together with a few of our favorite wedding vendors and put together a couple looks with extra blooms we had laying around. The result was a soft spring color display with casually sophisticated accents.
Tablescape #1
Our first tablescape features a mixture of white blooms, accented with fresh local foliage and just a hint of blush. We used a combination of white campanula, Alabaster garden roses, blush Clooney ranunculus, Bowl of Cream peonies, blooming mock orange and blooming wild honeysuckle. We borrowed a butter yellow faille linen from BBJ, added a cream gauze runner and layered robin’s egg blue china from Good Stuff China.

I loved adding just a hint of barely blush to compliment the white and green flowers.
We accented the spring centerpiece with Bartlett pears. Fresh Farm to Market bread was placed on either end of the table. The bread rested on vintage silver trays with a bed of Honeysuckle and Mock Orange foliage.
White pillar candles and a glass water bottle that doubled as a table number finished the tablescape.
For our next design, we decided on a palette of blush and dusty rose. We added red grapes, taupe taper candles, vintage books and wine to bring contrast to the display. The linen is from BBJ and we layered a dusty rose gauze table runner for an extra punch of color.

These May wedding flowers contain a mix of Misaki Wabara garden roses, Princess Hitomi garden roses (both from Alexandra Farms), campanula, blush hyacinth, blush butterfly ranunculus, Alabaster garden roses, Bowl of Cream peonies, Sahara roses, and wild honeysuckle.
Nellie Sparkman added monogramed menus with burnt raw edges.
